The process places the control in the hands of the buyer and seller, not the agents. Buyers are completely familiar with the property prior to submitting their offer at auction, and sellers are protected because Premier Home Auctions and the First Team listing agent partner with them to determine a private reserve price, the minimum amount that the seller will accept for their home. They then set a minimum opening bid and implement a multi-layered marketing campaign designed to attract a comprehensive buyer base.

The home is marketed with full-color newspaper ads, e-newsletters sent to an extensive network of agents, postcards mailed to potential buyers, and follow-up marketing from Premier Home Auctions. This intensive marketing effort enables the listing agent to truly focus on selling the home, dedicating more time to identifying and following up with qualified, motivated buyers while a collection of prestigious companies, including First Team, Premier Home Auctions, Bankers Funding, Hallmark and Coast Cities Escrow, work in a solid, concerted effort to sell the home. During this time, potential buyers are pre-approved, and are then allowed to preview the home with limited open houses held two days a week at one and a half hours each, with no lockboxes and no need for the seller to be ready to show at a moment’s notice.

When auction day arrives, buyers register at the event and receive their paddles. The auction environment is exhilarating and efficient, with buyers engaging in competitive bidding, and the seller enjoying the activity surrounding their house. Because of the undisclosed reserve price, the seller is assured that if they don’t get the value they desire for their home, they don’t have to sell.
